What happens to brokerage clients funds if a Nuclear Bomb explodes in New York City?

I haven't held a position is US markets since Sepember 11.

After they closed the exchange, I realised that if I had of been long, I would not have been able to exist or hedge my position. Now I only trade Eurex as I believe frankfurt is less of a terrorist target that New York.

I'm going to diversify more in countries, but the dollar hedge thing is more difficult. I dont know any trustworthy non-US FX broker that I can put trades on

hate to sound like a heartless capitalist but if one morning I wake up and see on CNN a mushroom in times square the first thing I will be thinking is 'I wonder where the 30y treasury will trade at after this'

well, with the lack of liquidity in these days, you could not see the price/volume levels on DOM... :D
 
If NYC gets leveled you have alot more to worry about than monetary assets.

You can be 100% confident we would see global thermo nuclear war breakout. "would you like to play a game?"

He said..... good time to own OEX puts. But try and settle the trade.
