Some people take things a bit too seriously, a good sense of humour goes a long way and stops people from shooting each other.
Not everything in life has to be money and achievement orientated. Your achievements mean nothing when your dead.
No white suits....yet. I got as well medically as I can be, and everything in storage and just traveling past few weeks, come back for medical appts, dental. All trading is now automated, no sense in sitting at a desk when I can be elsewhere and others are overseeing it, doing much more reading and just studying, waiting for a buddy to finish more programming, just can't turn off brain to new ideas based on risk management, but no longer even doing the testing, it fun, no longer having to really do anything.
Went parachuting last week three times, I don't bounce as well as I did 39 years ago, did some trout fishing up in mountains-very yummy 30 minutes later.
Am sure at some point in months or couple years, will return to my old desk, but am long overdue to enjoy life.

The old traders maybe stopped receiving likes by the groupies and felt alienated, who knows.
Some people think their liking of a post is a credible endorsement which is a tad annoying.

Wisdom I appreciate now and would have been better off to learn as a younger man. Generous of you to share, thank you.
I think the resilience, persistence, and emotional deadness needed to be cultivated to grind out a profit can 'rewire' the brain in ways which are undesirable outside of trading. Lasting damage, possibly permanent, which can express itself in a number of unhealthy ways. Sample size of 1, no control, and only supporting information is anecdotal from other traders I've spoken to but I think there is something of the Faustian bargain afoot....what's got over the Devil's back is spent under his belly.
