What happened to Melissa Lee on CNBC ?

Where's Sue Herrera been btw?
She only did one minute news updates throughout the day, but she was always like a little ray of sunshine the way she delivered the headlines.
 
So they made Mark Haines bottom call at 666 on the S&P an NFT to auction for Autism Speaks.
That's pretty cool huh? Haines was big into that.
Bid was $48K earlier.

They took Bryan Sullivan and his "Last Call" off the air.

I knew that was going to happen. He did a GREAT job though. It was just an impossible time-slot.

Kudos to Bryan. Great guy. :thumbsup:

Imo, cnbc should bump that show to the 7PM slot, and let Bryan Sullivan have that 5-6PM slot. He does a great job with his show, but it's in the worlds toughest timeslot for the material his show is geared for. Sheppard Smith flopped in it, and you have to admire Bryan for having the courage to give it a go. Bryan's a cool cat, you can tell.

I like Bryan as a person, but he was kind of dim-witted compared to someone like Melissa Lee. Maybe an unfair comparison, as I think Lee is one of the sharpest on-air people at CNBC.

Well, I wouldn't say dim-witted. He's pretty far from that. He did an excellent job with that show. He liked to look at things from a different angle, and he wasn't afraid to ask tough questions.

Poor Melissa though, they work her to death. She'll fill in whenever they need her, and I agree, she's good too. I like it when she fills in for Andrew or Becky on Squawk and Kernan's there. There's always tension in the air, you can tell those two don't see eye to eye on politics.
 
Well Melissa Lee went to Harvard and worked on Wall Street so she is just another genetic lottery winner. She is the best business personality on TV. Andrew Ross Sorkin is very good too. Very professional. Well Kernan is the last of the traditional Conservatives on CNBC although his liking of Trump doesn't make sense since Trump is really a scatter box of ideas that don't seem like conservative to me. Becky is okay, nothing spectacular.

I don't think CNBC ever recovered from the old guard retiring. Bryan Sullivan is very good & he is an oil expert but I think Mark Haynes was the last great journalist on CNBC.

Bill Griffith was such a great professional on the air. I remember him on WNBC back in the 1970s when he was an anchor in the news in NYC. Maria Bartiromo was great at the Closing Bell with Bill. Too bad she left to go to the Fox Business black hole.

Even though I'm not a fan of Neocons, I think the Kudlow & Cramer show was great. Very interesting interactions between a former Nixon wonk & hedge fund junkie. This was like after 911 hit.
