I never understood the algo argument. My strategy has worked before algo and it continue to work today with algo. Either people can't trade or they are using a bad method.

TL complains about the same thing and chalks it up to the same causes: lack of volatility, algos, HFTs, blah, blah. But nothing has changed for me. So if one isn't doing well, perhaps he needs to align himself more closely with what the market is willing to give.

Yes, ET is quieter, largely because MS is gone. Useful work is being done here and more of it, though there is as always a large portion of newbie cluelessness. I suggest that those who have clamored for a more productive forum take advantage of the change in climate.

I traded a higher traffic ET with MS, for a lower traffic ET without MS, and I don't regret it. There are a few others on my list that are getting the boot too. They've been warned this week to shape up so it's up to them to decide what they want to do.
