What happened to ES liquidity

Funny thing though, I just got a look at a the Financial Times for the 26th, the day of my post. They speak of something very similar to what I was implying. Yeah, my BS detector is working good, as usual.

Tremendously percipient stock777. A low vol environment is ripe for those strats. I believe Eurex uses a size algorithm as opposed to strict time priority. The size algorithm really offers incentive to load the queue. In ES I don't quite understand what these guys are doing. I see where the pit is doing a higher % of notional volume than several months back. I'm guessing that paper likes trading in dimes and that if you have SP orders resting at .40 bid and .30 bid then that .25 bid in ES can be as thick as you want to make it.
