What happened on this chart?

how are gains and loss treated in ira account? they don't get taxed, correct?

tax deferred. I pay ordinary income tax on withdrawals. I did some of this in my non Ira account, then realized, it makes no sense, because of wash sale rule.

So you must be aware of the (PDT) pattern day trader rule - where you can only do 3 trades (3 buys & 3 sells - not 6 "vinny trades") in a 5 day period unless you have $25,000 or more in your trading account?

Anyway what was the outcome of today's TQQQ trade? Do you hold till the close, hell or high water?

edit: I see last post. GL with surgery, hope nothing major. No need to provide any personal details though.

Yeah I’m aware, but it doesn’t apply to me, I’ve got more than enough assets to skirt the rule.

i posted above, todays Tqqq trade was a $198 gain. Small trades, actually bought in two accounts. I don’t like holding these things overnight. In fact I don’t like holding them for more than a few hours.

re surgery, thanks. No biggie, trigger fingers, right hand. I’ve had 3 of these surgeries already.

Here is what I noticed mid-aft (note I don't trade stocks/ETF's) lower highs which if I was long would have told me chances are it is not going to go much higher than it has already, and likely to continue to make more lower highs/lower lows:-

not everyone has a RH or WEBULLS 4 figures account account size like u…I’m a whale, i buy $25k worth of stonks per trade thru out the day. So pdt rules don’t apply to me.

why tqqq instead of sqqq today?
I hadn’t gotten a chance to look at the market until around 10:30,when TQQQ had given up all it s opening move gains. It looked like it was starting to move back up, so I hopped on. Just didn’t make the sustained move I wanted, so I got out when it felt “directionless”

Why are you guys trading SQQQ and TQQQ instead of NQ/MNQ futures ?
What's the advantage ?
Lower Commission/Fees ?
Better liquidity / better fills ?
