ICPT got a rally after its earnings in pre-market, it reached as high as $400 from approx $237 , but in regular trading session it started to cool down, and by the closing bell it was at approx $275.
But here the strange thing happened, while the shares were trading at around $275 in afterhours, someone suddenly bought 1000 ICPT stocks at 16:25pm at the price of $375. Then it appeared he sold these shares to others, as judging from the smaller blocks of transactions following the big 1000 stock purchase.
Of course, less than an minute later, the stock price went back to around $275........
I don't understand why anyone would do this? Doesn't even seem like smart manipulation, he risked 100k to make a small profit like this? Or could the smaller blocks following the 1000 share purshase actually be himself? Whatever happend, one thing is clear, $100k of wealth just got transfered, we just don't know who is/are the winner(s) or the loser(s) in the transaction.
