Thanks for the post. Can you elaborate more on what happened with bonds in April?
It had a significant ~8 point drop in April. It's now under its' 200 day MA. Maybe "carnage" was a little harsh. 
A run back up from 97 to 105 is not inconceivable. The selling has taken it to some decent support levels. But don't expect it to fly higher. That would be a great entry to the short side.
Secular top in long bonds. Inverse to 1981. B4 your time.
However, US was not nearly as dependent on foreign capital in 1981.
That aside, what's a 30 year face value really worth 30 years from now irrespective of price fluctuation?
