What good is money

...What brought him to his current conclusion? A three-week vacation with his wife in Hawaii, plus gliding trips to South America and Africa left him with feelings of guilt, he said, and the sense that there was a connection between his wealth and the poverty of the people he saw....

Astonishing.

I used to be into cars and dream about this one and that one but had kind of an epiphany recently and really don't give a shit about material things that much anymore.

Life really is all about adventure, experiences, love and friendship. People matter, 'things' don't.

Well said and I agree 100%.

I think of these things as experiences too. If I am able to drive a gorgeous car on a trip through Spain say, that is an experience. If I am able to afford taking my friends on a ski trip, that is an experience. If I am able to afford a set of $50k electrostatic speakers so I can listen to my music as if I were listing to it live, that is an experience. If I could own a racehorse, it would add a dimension to my love of the horse races, etc., etc, etc.

But if you couldn't do these things, your life _could_ be just as rich, but possibly not as diverse.
