Reason: Denial. The same reason why NYC people looking for work haven't stopped eating $15 burgers and $5 fries c/o their umemployment checks.
 
Many of these borrowers havn't put down a cent as down payment, and have lived free for at least 6 months. The worst to happen to them is to move to an apartment.
 
Shouldn't we be thankful now that they are making housing prices more affordable for everyone???
