What Exactly Are Mueller's Russians Supposed To Be Guilty Of?

Again, and I know this is difficult for the binary mind, but the discussion was around and in response to what was alleged in the indictment- including your response. What may be "proven" elsewhere or in a future case is neither here nor there. Mueller did not allege in the current set of indictments that the defendants were foreign agents- PERIOD.

If Hillary or one of the many other dem or fbi criminal are indicted for something then their understanding of what they are charged with is set forth or is required to be set forth in the indictment. The fact that we know of all sorts of other crimes she or her colluding dem colleagues may or could be charged with at some future point is not responsive to what she is being charged with in that indictment. Jem and, I think AA, were asking what the charges or allegations were in this indictment/s.

It is not part of our legal process to notify a defendant of charges/allegations as specified in the indictment AND SUCH OTHER CRIMES AS USUAL NAME BELIEVES TO BE TRUE OR HAS EVIDENCE IS TRUE. Just doesn't work that way yet.

Right. Trump is exonerated and Russia is in the clear.

On the real side of things, Mueller is moving forward cleaning up this mess left by the Trump campaign and Russians working to get him elected.

You don't understand how the American legal system works. The discussion was about what was in the indictment. And as I said, your wanting something to be in the indictment did not make it so.

Might be easier to just say that you were wrong and move on unless your entire identity is dependent on defending it. Why don't you just let it go and move on to something new. Of course you will be wrong about that too. but whatever.

You would make a great lawyer in the country. Unfortunately that country would not be on this particular planet. Keep trying though.

I know. As always you are right on the money.

I've been away so apologies if I missed this, but I read the Mueller indictment of the evil Russians and I was left confused as to exactly what law they violated? I believe the indictment says they committed "fraud on the United States?" Silly me, I would have thought that might be something a defense contractor might get charged with for fake billing.

Perhaps I just didn't read carefully enough, but if shitposting, trolling and using an anonymous account to make political commentary are crimes, we are going to need a lot more FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors. They were not even accused of posting false stuff. It was said to be disparaging. How is that different from CNN, the NYT and WashPost coverage of Trump? Because they are media and can hide behind the First Amendment? OK then, what about Soros? Half the leftwing trolls here are probably getting a check from him.

Plenty of foreign governments...cough Israel... spend big money on "public affairs" campaigns, DC speak for propaganda campaigns that are not all that different from what Mueller charged the Russians with.

I realize Mueller has never been the sharpest tool in the shed but surely someone on his staff could see this is the slipperiest of slippery slopes.
At the risk of feeding a troll I'll answer your question. As part of every indictment there is a list of "COUNTS". Count 1; Count 2 ; ... etc. The Counts will state which specific U.S. law the indicted is (are) being accused of. The U.S. Code and Section number of the law will be specifically cited. These are the laws that the indicted is being accused of having broken. The recent Mueller indictment is no exception. You will find toward the end of the indictment the Counts, and under each Count you will find a reference to the specific law that it is being claimed was broken. (The counts are often structured so that the citation to a specific law comes at the end of the Count, but it doesn't have to. It could come at the beginning of the Count.) So if you want to know what specific U.S. laws it is being alleged that the Russians broke, go to the end of the indictment and read the specific "Counts". You will find specific laws cited there.

You wont find charges related to being a foreign agent in that set of indictments. But keep trying.

Your threshold for embarrassing yourself is surprisingly admirable. Maybe if you didn’t get all of your information from Russia Today you might have made it to Page 2.
