I was a NYSE telephone clerk for a few years prior to getting a job on the desk getting lunch during the tech IPO days!
The phones were ringing off the hook from 8AM-4PM so I got a series 7 and started answering phones for the head trader.
This worked out well for me.
Now I trade ZB,CL,ES, and EC, and travel frequently to warm climates!
