What does the Fed Policy, Ben Bernanke, and Bob Dylan have in common?

Well. if Dylan where to sing about it, it might go something like this...

Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
I'm not homeless yet but soon I think I’m gonna be
Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
In the jingle jangle morning I'll be job hunting too.

I know the current credit crunch has left us all for dead
And the Chairman of the Fed
Doesn't know what's up ahead but still won’t change his mind.
His foolishness amazes me, his policy is wrong
But he sings the same old song
Thinks rate cuts can make us strong but he is dreaming.

Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
I'm not homeless yet but soon I think I’m gonna be
Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
In the jingle jangle morning I'll be job hunting too.

Take me on a trip inside your magic swirlin' brain
My pockets have been drained, my assets have been strained
And my 401’s in vain, wait only for foreclosure
To be wanderin'
I'm ready to go bankrupt now, I'm ready for to fade
All because of your charade, cast your policy my way
I’m going under ‘cause of it.

Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
I'm not homeless yet but soon I think I’m gonna be
Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
In the jingle jangle morning I'll be job hunting too.

Though you might hear shoutin’, swearin’', coming from the Congress floor
Telling you who make us poor, we won’t take it anymore
And your Fed rate cuts have no chance of workin'
And if you hear vague traces of a bad economy
From Bernanke policy, from some homeless defaultie
Of this George Bush appointee, isn't it a shame
That we all have to follow him.

Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
I'm not homeless yet but soon I think I’m gonna be
Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
In the jingle jangle morning I'll be job hunting too.

Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of the Fed
Down the foggy ruins of dread, no prosperity ahead
The haunted, frightened banks, wait for the bailout speech
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow
Yes, to dance beneath the U.S. sky one dollar left in hand
Ben Berbanke’s foolish plan, circled by the President
With a Fed Funds rate driven deep beneath what it should be
Let me just get through today until tomorrow.

Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
I'm not homeless yet but soon I think I’m gonna be
Hey ! Mr Ben Bernanke, don’t cut rates for me
In the jingle jangle morning I'll be job hunting too.

But this time, the contents of the title post does not contain any lyrics.

Thanks Ian... and I hope we can get some better ideas out of the Fed in the near future and that they have better minds working to fix our confused economy than I do about typing confused words. I came back to read your reply and my eye caught 'vein' in one of the lines of the lyrics instead of the correct word, 'vain.' Apparently, I type phonetically... (I've found if you use the pointing end of the cordless phone antenna, it's easier to hit the keys on the keyboard.) Oh well, at least my stuff won't cause any 'nu-cu-lar' fallout to occur.

...And thanks to Joe in Support for editing that for me. I probably wouldn't have bothered asking but I wanted to test out my theory that a very good site has a very good support team. Theory proven, Elite Trader rocks!
