I doubt your parents or relatives can read a book. Let alone sign their own name. Do they mark an 'X' on the form when they apply for their welfare check?
My background is white, anglo-saxon protestant with highly educated parents who were recruited to work in Canada in the 1960s. About as "Canadian" a background as there is really, yet I embrace diversity and over time discovered the wonderful aspects of people of different cultures on this planet. I also get to see through my mixed kids and their friends where the world is headed once assholes like you die off. I don't know how you were raised exactly, but you are behind the times and seem to long for the days when racism was accepted behavior in certain circles and people knew their place. What you don't seem to know is Canada isn't that place for you and your backwards ideas.
How can anyone even compare the two? When I think of Canada, I think of where people go who want to be babied. People that want someone else to take care of them go there.
And it really annoys me how they boast about their shitty healthcare system. Their care is substandard. When was the last time you heard of a rich American going to Canada to get treatment? But you hear of rich Canadians coming to America to get treatment all the time. And don't get me started on the wait times which just keep increasing year over year. Last year reached the longest wait times in history.

The Canadian Health Care system is still best in the world. You have to wait longer these days to see a specialist but if you really need immediate attention you can get it. Have had half a dozen operations and have visited a Doctor hundreds of times and never paid a penny. Canadian Doctors are the best in the world and I don't have to worry that they are trying to get rich at my expense.
As a Canadian I see The USA as falling behind. Still too many cowboys playing with guns and living in the past. The current fiasco with Trump is indicative of troubling times. From the likes of Roosevelt, Eisenhower and Kennedy to Trump. From men with integrity and intelligence who put their country first to a narcissist who cares more about his brand than the Presidency. If it was not so serious it would be funny. Never has the USA been so at risk and so untrustworthy in the eyes of the world. I have never been happier to be a Canadian. Ok I'm done, now lets see some hate......let it out.....you need to hate, it makes you feel good about yourself.
Both university educated with serious degrees in Maths/Sciences. No welfare checks required. Very intelligent family, numerous academic awards and professional careers for most of us. I highly doubt you can say the same.
