I think you might be being cynical, but in all seriousness, let's not forget Ft. Hood. I believe the murderer was an officer, had become radicalized, and killed a lot of people (it wasn't workplace violence as many reported). Let's hope a fighter pilot or apache pilot (officers) and crew don't go the route the Ft Hood killer did.
Holy crap you are stupid. No, you only need to get some off the street and make it impossible to legally buy them. This would make it less likely that some nut could get one.
We have the 2nd Amendment. The Supreme Court recently upheld it. If you want to get rid of the guns, the only option is to hold a Constitutional Convention and nullify the 2nd Amendment. Not sure if any Amendments in the Bill of Rights can be nullified?
Either way, that's your only option. Other than that, you're asking for a shooting war with the American people. Because you want to take their guns unlawfully. Which is illegal. Which means they will use those guns to preserve their right to keep them. Do you understand? No, you don't. You don't give a shit about the law, or the Constitution. Only when it serves you or your interests. Which makes you a hypocrite. But I digress.
So get "some" off the street and make it impossible to legally buy them. Kinda like Chicago did with hand guns when they were banned. I'm sure your great plan will have the same success rate.
