What does a communist do In the midst of the disastrous obamacare rollout?

Quote from Max E. Pad:

When did piezoe ever try being a centrist? was it when he was using salon.com for his talking points?

Many leftists consider themselves centrists. They rationalize that their leftists views are so popular and universally accepted that said views are the new center.

They ARE mistaken, of course.

No, you're fucked up.

There, I've added like value to your "argument".

"Nevertheless, once we were up to our knees in financial doo doo, they did the correct thing, which was to facilitate the government leveraging up while the private sector was leveraging down."

wrong again.
the government will never be able to outlaw the business cycle. it will only exacerbate the bust when it finally occurs.

"These two things are: 1. bring medical costs in line with the other industrialized nations --that will require breaking the medical cartel, there is no other way, and 2. Bring per capita defense costs in line with the other "
it will never happen.
if it does r&d for advances in medicine will disappear.
an expanding government sector, both directly and indirectly is destroying the US. your agitation to defang the defense sector and to have a one payer health system cannot save the US from the perils of excessive debt. europe is broke with lower defense and health costs than the US. because of its over bloated public sector and its pension obligation to gov't workers. the U.S. is no different.

NO, you haven't Lil Ricky. Max is right, you guys are delusional.

Quote from Scataphagos:

Greenscam was a horror show. Bernanke has been more irresponsible and worse... Yellen to be worse yet. Destruction of the $USD in progress. The ONLY reason the Dollar isn't already in the tank is because all the world's central banks are doing the same money-printing schtick.... leaving the Dollar as still a functional option.

Last good Fed chairman was Volker.

Janet Yellen Is Now a Litmus Test for Right-Wing Sanity
By Kevin Drum, Tue Nov. 26, 2013 11:22 AM PST

"Steve Benen notes that the increasingly shrill and hyperbolic Heritage Foundation has decided to make opposition to Janet Yellen a "key vote." That is, they'll count it on their end-of-the-year scorecard that tells everyone just how conservative you are:

"Thanks to the “nuclear option” there’s very little chance Yellen’s nomination will fail — Joe Manchin appears to be her only Democratic opponent — but it now seems likely that most Senate Republicans will oppose the most qualified Fed nominee since the institution was founded."

"That's true, which means this has become sort of a litmus test for wingnuttery. There's simply no serious reason to oppose Yellen, who is outstandingly qualified to be Fed chair by virtually any measure. So opposition to Yellen is now a pretty simple proposition: you oppose her if you're some kind of hard money lunatic or if you feel like you have to pander to the hard money lunatics. That's it. Everyone else votes to support her confirmation. Should be an interesting roll call.

"POSTSCRIPT: For more on the Heritage Foundation's descent from a think tank beloved of Republicans to a bullying ideological cop now loathed on Capitol Hill, check out Julia Ioffe's report here. It's a precautionary tale that's well worth a read."

The article (written by a guy who is a political blogger for Mother Jones) shows just how out of touch all you moonbats have gotten. Yellen is the uber Bernanke - a dove in dove's clothing. Anyone with any understanding of the economy that isn't about spend until you drop can see that multiplying more of the same (which hasn't done shit) won't do shit.

Liberals pretend (key word: pretend) to be about the little guy, but love to support the same policies making big banks bigger, richer and more untouchable.

The Heritage Foundation is spot on. If you vote for Yellen, you are certainly not a conservative.

But perhaps you kooks would have preferred Summers...

Summers Says History Will Favor Fed's QE `98 to 2'

:D

No, I wouldn't. And Summers, as recently as August, said that QE was doing more harm than good - and that he feared bubbles were beginning to be blown. He got it, just in time to realize he wasn't going to step up for a suicide job.

That's why stocks soared when he withdrew his name - they realized the easy money printing was here to stay.
