What do you use in forex charts

I use fractal combined with Bollinger bands, though I must say I pay a lot of attention to the chart patterns as well because I feel they give really strong market signals.

If you're stuck on using volume, chart the Euro 6E futs contract.

Well I sometimes use OBV on stocks to spot the underlying sentiment and divergences with price.

I'll look the futures up.
Though I feel maybe it would be a delusion as the volume would apply to the futures only.

What software do you use for fractals?

Can you recommend good reading materials pertaining to them?
Never used them, I have heard of the 'V' fractal.

Thanks.

I use Bollinger bands too, in addition to an accelerator oscillator and sometimes, William’s percent range.

What is an accelerator oscillator and which software would provide it?

Thanks.

Support & Resistance; trendlines PRECEDE price action.

I.E., if support holds, new longs are added while shorts cover...price action headed higher.

People who focus on price action are putting the cart before the horse.

KUDOS to those with enough clarity of thought to use what really works while eschewing what doesn't.

It took me 18-months before I learned these hard lessons!

Best wishes!

how can you create a trendline without price action? The right answer of course is you can't. "Price action' CREATES the trendlines, not the other way around. W/O price and its action there is no trendline.

Price occurs first to create the trendline. What do you think a trendline is but the history of price action.
