Trump gave democrats a mind virus in 2016. They can't think logically now. They will go for the most extreme candidate they can which will put a lot of people off even voting.

Lenin - Bernie
Then you have a bunch of women who are running not on policies but just on the fact they have a vagina and want to win only on being the first female president.
Then you got Castro, a guy that literally looks like he works for the cartels and little is known about his stances which makes me think he might actually hiding something like that.
Hickenlooper, which IMO probably would have the best chance of winning if he didn't have that last name. Nobody wants a President Hickenlooper.
Inslee - A guy that wants to import every muslim in the world into our country while at the same time making you pay trillions for climate change BS.
Yang - The left hate Asians as much as whites, but Yang wants to give every American $1,000 per month UBI, so he may get some traction with the freeloaders. Ironically he wants free financial education for all. Maybe he take that class first.
And don't forget Pete Buttplug - Running on the queer ticket and is sure to call you homophobic if you don't vote for him.
Not a lot of normal choices there.
