What do the tech savvy recommend for component parts of a new PC build or pre-built?

NEW LAPTOP for me!

I am upgrading my MSI GT 75 (circa 2017) 7th gen Intel i7.

New machine is an MSI GE 76 raider with a an i9 HK, 32 gb DDR5, 4Tb Samsung 980 Pro SSD (PCI4x). (all the extra SSD space is for non trading stuff).

It is a fast machine for doing development-back testing. I'll keep the old machine as the trading rig before moving to a co locate solution.

Note only the i9s have the liquid mental cooling.

No affiliation or kickbacks, but have been buying from here for over 20 years. I have had awesome service; Ken is great: e.g. had a USB port go bad at 23 months into a 2 year warranty, sent it in and got a new MoBo in 1.5 week RT. Best is I know I will get a flawless machine, worthy of a trading rig.

Think its internet related, my router is 5 + years old, its ASUS RT-AC88U when we got it Cnet called it " The Lexus of wireless routers " cost us $225.00 that being said we got it cause it had 8 Gigabit LAN ports, I wired my house with CAT 6 Cable, my trading office has 6 CAT Jacks So I can rearrange my room as I see fit, rest of house has four CAT 6 jacks around the house, only use the wifi for the cellphone, still running strong and still for sale at amazon for $200 bucks.. We invested in a good Router and its last and well worth is. Also it can handle TWO WAN connections if I have need for a 2nd back up internet connection as well. https://www.cnet.com/reviews/asus-rt-ac88u-router-review/

Had a friend complain about her Wifi and upon checking it had two things wrong:
1) had never changed the default channel and it was so packed, it was colliding
2) It was one of the older models that can only transmit to one device at a time. She had 8 devices in the house.

Everyone needs to upgrade to a MIMO type (with a good chip) access point that can talk to multiple devices at a time. You can get a good one for under 80-100 dollars. How many devices in your household? :caution:

One desktop, 3 laptops and 2 printers all connected via LAN, 2 cell phones tap into the wifi. I personally do not read any thing on my cell phone at home on the wifi. ( So actually its 1 cellphone using wifi ) So WIFI means nothing to me could care less about it.
