Had a conversation with employee #63 at MSFT, the other day. We talked about our current projects, and he summed it up well. "We never stop hustling".
Talked with a 23 yo, and he asked what is "hard work" as he started his internship at AMZN. I told him he needs to work unstainable hard for the 12 weeks he is there. Then told him work hard means doing 14-14s. 14 hours a day, for 14 days with second Sunday a 1/2 day. 3-4 months at a time. It gets the projects done and has the benefit of "immersion efficiency".
Lastly, it is like anything well practiced. The more years you do it, the easier it becomes to operate at a high level.
Mental fitness is a thing, really.
