What are your beliefs?

The reason that hunting and fishing is fun is because we are tapping into a natural instinct. To be part of the predator/prey relationship. Man is no more "sinful" in nature than nature itself.

I agree 100% with your thoughts here.

A gap between your thought process and mine seems to be that you believe Man's ability to make a moral decision, in regards to what is right and wrong, is natural, while I do not. :)

Again, I will ask- What other creature in nature has ever been proven to have this ability? There are none that I can see.

Thus, we now have a clear separation between man and the natural world.

We absolutely do.

If you read my rather verbose reply to trendlover, in regards to separations between Man and the Natural world, you will see that I have clearly spelled out that man is, in part, from nature, and retains a plethora of natural instincts- many of which can be attributed to man's sinful nature.

Sinful – now there’s a label for ya

One man – defining the thoughts and/ or actions of another (not directly aimed at you HH)

Depending on which particular part of the world one hails, one’s thoughts/ actions could be deemed sinful... or perfectly acceptable

Hell…, for that matter – simply depending on the circumstances, one’s thoughts/ actions would be labeled sinful... or not

And never have I found as judgmental a place – as church

Often times a cat will pounce and kill, then simply walk away from their prize because tastier food awaits them from a can :)

I have a cat (don’t ask me why… and to this day I still don’t know how) – anyway….

He kills mice, moles, snakes, birds (even tried to take on a raccoon once but lost that fight) – but never eats them…

Instead he’ll bring them to me, drop them off, then walk away….never touching them again

No clue why

He’s not hungry… he’s fixed… and is the most laid back animal imaginable

Moral.., and right/ wrong - more labels made by man to define man

The hypocrisy of it

The cat is a hunter by nature. What he's doing is two things. First, he's showing off his hunting skills, and secondly he's trying to reciprocate your kind act of feeding him every day. That, or he's just nut's like my cats.

I vote for nuts - about like me :)

Part of what separates us from nature, is we humans also have the ability to kill based solely on our beliefs. No other animals have shown any such capability.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Beliefs" So those beliefs can make them kill because they think they only survive if they kill. Like animals.

Quote from Hoofhearted:

You can say it false all day long, but you have shown no proof to convince me believe otherwise.

Cats and dogs are both "instinctive" predators. Do they really need to have any other motives, such as "pleasure" in order for them to kill?

Perhaps your hang-up may be that you are viewing their actions from a human standpoint, and you feel the need to insert your own human thought process into their actions.
Then perhaps your hang up is not viewing man's actions from the purity of grace you automatically give to animals .

dipshit you can't have it both ways and call one evil.

Morals, labels, hypocrisy- more divisions between man and the natural world.

Could someone please tell me, What other creatures in the natural world attain these attributes or assets?
