if you know what the market was going to do would you not go all in?
Well, dropped my crystal ball and all I have now are shards of glass. So, I guess I need to buy a magic 8 ball to tell me what is coming next?

Such comments can send an innocent newbie down a waste of time rabbit hole.
Even your mentor and friend Al Brooks mentions the word "uncertainty" and "trading probabilities" a 100 times in his book.

I never believed all the great market participants who told me it was not possible to predict the market.
try telling any teen age child that billions of usd in put into markets not knowing where the market is going next?

and I never believed that it was impossible to know where the market is going to go because it goes, where the buying and selling, tells it to go and that is known in hindsight.

Be nice to @padutrader, sometimes risking 100% makes sense.
If you trade options and long calls or puts, you buy theta, makes sense to spend all of it (risk 100%) and see how everything plays out.
As for trade size, I know my expectancy and I bet 1/4 - 1/2 Kelly on each trade. Once in a while I bet 1-2 Kelly and often regret I did that.
