What are you presently reading?

For the first time in many years now, I went a week without reading a new book. Though, I've been reading a bunch all at the same time is why. lol

Just to give a heads-up, last night I started reading Vol 2 in this series. I actually like it pretty much so far. I'm about 1/4 of the way into it, but no complaints. Just keep in mind it's a little... dated but still useful. Hits a lot of key stuff from crypto to bonds and bubbles. I do look at a few things from different angles now and learned a tip here and there.

See if your library has it. After I am done with this, I will look to see about getting Vol 1 from the series too.

Have we resolved this possibility that Reminiscences of a Stock Operator wasn't actually a true Biography of Jesse Livermore that @The_Krakenite brought up???

The two Books which seem compulsory reading for any Trader seem to be Reminiscences of a Stock Operator and Market Wizards.

It is listed a fictionalized biography...even his name is different. I believe the majority of the book follows his life loosely and the last 6ish chapters are fillers.

I am not sure RSO should be compulsory, as I'm sure has been mentioned, traders like Niederhoffer have mentioned it is a 'terrible' book for learning about trading; it should be more looked at for studying how to fail at trading.

Let's assume for a moment that it really is based around Livermore. The irony there is that Niederhoffer's grandfather traded with Livermore, and he's STILL telling you it's a terrible book.

Oh, and as for Market Wizards, and the rest of the series in that elk... there is a downside to them. As time goes by, an increasing number of the guru's in there have since then either gone spectacularly bust, or failed to beat the market (or worse).

2. Back test reports

But even a joke can contain some good points
RSO noted reusing business envelopes........................
Jack Schwager Top Trading/investing books has much more good info in it.
And some may want to consider the old co, noted in RSO/Anaconda Copper;
not a stock tip, but the metals business.............................
