What are you presently reading?

I just finished this book. I found it in the business section of a thrift shop and it had really nice-to-touch glossy paper. lol

Simplistic book, but I didn't mind it.

I have picked up a bunch of philosophy books... Looks like going forward I will most likely branch out from just investing/trading, into a strong mix of a lot of Philo.
Have you ever read any Camus? I read "Myth of Sisyphus" not long ago...it was interesting. More of an essay on absurdism. "One must imagine Sisyphus as happy".

I have not read Myth of Sisyphus yet. However, I've come across the title multiple times this week. I will jot it down on my to-read list since a number of people have suggested it already.

Just tonight I am finishing off a silly intro to philosophy book:

I Think, Therefore I Draw

Well, you need to consider the background context. "Myth of Sisyphus" was written in 1942, shortly after France was invaded by Hitler. Also the dude was among the existentialist crowd (even though he himself denied this).

Just started reading this (although not entirely sure I will finish it)

I may have seen that Marx book at the library earlier this week. But I already had a bundle of stuff I signed out.

One thing I'm going to cancel checking-out are the 'The Economist' magazines I've been reading editions on. Just too much far-left political garbage in them and other feminist rantings that I can't take any more of this stupidity longer. The whole magazine is extremely biased and if I can't even trust what I'm reading, then it's not worth my time unless it's a one-time thing for amusement.

Personally, I don't give a hoot about reading exposés or memoirs, but since this book deals with Steve Cohen (oh, that Steve Cohen), why not? And speaking of memoir, this one seems interesting after watching "WeCrashed".

Sunday afternoon now, and I've finished the Economics book. It was another decent review of history & philosophy, etc. I have another book on Plato I will possibly finish later tonight.

The sad part is, I have a bunch of un-finished library books to return soon, but I keep starting other books instead. Grrrrr. Just when I was going to get back on track for Monday (tomorrow), I then decide to give Keynes a go, (and possibly Marx soon). I never really did study Marx much, but Keynes was introduced to me in highschool with my economics course. That was in grade 13 back when you still had grade 13 before graduating. Kids these days are lucky, they get out a year earlier!

This reading time is cutting into my after-work projects, but since I'm just sitting and waiting for more vol in the markets before shorting more PUTs, I guess it's a good use of my time as is. Haw!
