What are the odds Trump will step down?

If Putin and whoever else has him by the balls (has his child rape tape etc., the pee-pee tape would not be news for two days we expect so little of him) tells him to, he will. He would probably love quit many days to but they won't let him.

He posts fake news from FB and posts dumb Trump memes here.

He is surely a boomer.

He posts this too

you both don't understand capitalism and are probably too stupid to vote (or a boomer, but that implies both!)
.

This is a top tier boomer post.

The second point is conjecture and because you're boomerposting I find it hard to take you seriously.

This one takes the cake though lol... and it was for me. :D

Being a Boomer as used on the internet is not just about age, it's also about attitude especially by know nothings who are used to posting fake news (like not being able to detect fake FB posts) and then acting smug posting cultists crap like 'orange man bad' as if criticizing a politician is out of bounds for things they actually did.

Its all in the optics at this point. Nikki would go over well, and msm would have a hard time attacking a woman of her integrity. I actually like Cruze too, I liked it when he defended his wife against Trump.
But lets face it Small, its not about the nitty gritty of who has the most conservative principles, its about about the party win and what it takes to get the required EC votes.

Ted Cruz would probably, still get more votes than Nikki Haley. One bonus is it would really piss off more ET trolls and extreme liberal if it was Ted Cruz because he is even more conservative than President Donald Trump.

Let me guess. Gaussian is a privileged millennial who believes everything has to be handed to him on a silver platter? No, it was not the Boomers who were the responsible ones but, the extreme liberal idiots like Gaussian who spent $200,000 to get a Sociology degree and expected to be paid six figures for it? Numerous immigrants with little to no monies came to the US and made something of themselves. Take Arnold Schwarzenneger who had $50 in his pocket when he came over here or Robert Herjavec's father who only had $100 when he came to the US. It is easy for losers to make excuses and lay the blame on others. Look in the mirror fool.

It better not be about age, you are easily late 50s or early 60s. When you look up the definition of the word "Boomer", please, do not use the same source that gave you the definition of the word "Slayer" hahahahhaha.

Now I know why you fell for the 'Mexico wall' hoax, you are just bad at reasoning and deducing.

You might have him on ignore... Gaussian knows what's up. As et posters go, he's pretty sharp.

I don't understand the alternative. Vaccines are possibly more than a year out. Real unemployment has skyrocketed and the markets are being artificially propped up by fake dollars. Moreover, "hundreds dying each day" is relative. All of this is editorializing. It's being chocked up to a homicidal maniac killing hundreds of day when in reality these are more or less deaths by misadventure. Not a single one of these articles compares death rates to put things into perspective. When viewed in a single year event, yes it looks dire, but will we continue to see COVID-19 deaths at this rate next year? No. We won't.

How are we supposed to continue? The implication of this article is two things:

1. There is another solution we have not seen that is not "accept and move on"
2. His opposition has a solution

For (1) There's no other way. The economy has to re-open. We can't stay in this lockdown limbo in most towns for much longer without dramatically effecting the local economy. Eventually you just have to suck it up and accept that this virus will be around. It's even possible we are doing more damage by isolating by weakening our own immune systems. This thing isn't typhoid fever. It's fatality rate is marginal for the average person and people in at-risk groups can take bubble boy like precautions at their own will. This is known by the dirty word personal responsibility which for some reason Trump's opposition seems to ignore.

For (2) I have yet to see a solution other than to blame Trump - ostensibly to make grandpa Joe look better. Not a single democrat politician has proposed anything other than keeping this "new normal going" despite every economic indicator pointing towards disaster. At this point it's a borderline conspiracy.

Constitutional monarchies do not work the same way as full representative democracies. Furthermore, the EU has draconian laws that in crisis situations pan out better. For example there's no concept of "state's rights".

Of course these things make it easier to pass large sweeping changes to a population of people quickly. We (thankfully) do not have this "luxury" and the federal government is by design slow. In crisis situations this can sometimes cause problems. We solve this via state's rights.

Please for the love of fuckin god take a single post high school governments class.

"Haha why aren't we the EU" - are you actually retarded or just pretending?

RE: @Bugenhagen How's getting arrested for not having a license for a butter knife? EU Sounds like a great place if you need nanny government to tell you what to do. There's a reason us yanks broke off of that failed system.

This quote is quintessential European. You can't even walk outside without mommy monarch telling you its ok.

If Trump’s reelection prospects are a lost cause, I wonder if it would be a masterstroke for him to step down, pardon those who were unfairly prosecuted by the Democrats, and let Ben Carson enter the fray.

The Democrat media machine might have to step carefully when attacking uncle Ben, an accomplished surgeon and one of the few remaining original Trump appointees. Besides, Ben is a vegetarian of sorts.

Ben may not be the flashiest, most dynamic candidate, but against career politician Biden, he doesn’t have to be. If nothing else, the Republicans could look at a Ben Carson nomination as a free roll political experiment. I say free roll because there seems little political risk of a Ben Carson Presidental run.

Look at the boxes checked by Carson:

1. Solid religious background, possibly galvanizing religious voters accross party lines.
2. Steady as a rock as shown by his long term marriage to one woman and his ability to endure in a Trump cabinet position.
3. A real possibility that Ben Carson is not a Nazi racist. Eyeroll.
4. An accomplished health care professional during a health related crisis.
5. What was it Joe has done for minorities during his fifty year political career again? Ben Carson has been the Secretary of Urban and Housing Development for almost 4 years now.
6. It seems minorities are not happy with current choices for President. The media’s Pavlovian antics are well worn and increasingly perceived by more and more people. In other words, minorities are getting “woke” in other ways. If Carson runs for President, the media’s antics will be highlighted even more.

The direction of our country under a Trump second term leaves more questions than answers right now. Under a Carson Presidency, there is cause for cautious optimism.

In fact, the allure of a Carson Presidency combined with Trump’s tarnished image may make it appropriate for Republican Party leadership to approach Trump about the idea of stepping down and make him an offer he can’t refuse, if necessary!

Edit: After the George Floyd murder by police, voters may feel Ben Carson may be more fundamentally responsive to that issue than Joe Biden.
