What are the current limits of artificial intelligence? & their weaknesses

For day to day chart watching and order entry the man for the job is a computer. Telling the computer exactly how to do that job is difficult though... writing code for that has given me a whole higher appreciation of the human mind. Currently i'm pretty sure that humans are better at developing strategies.

That's my personal experience too, over the years. I tried many times to write down all that goes thru my mind while trading, trying to give the necessary input for programming, but I never succeeded. I only realized that it was a lot, and most of it goes automatically like in my subconscious.
The result of years training (reprogramming) my brain to see what is needed and ignore all the rest.

I think AI is mostly PR hype. It makes the incorrect assumption that
all knowledge is formally provable sentences (calledthe Hilbert
Programme) that is not true. Self driving cars are really just small
busses only able to drive in their "virtual" lanes. Self driving cars work basically by having the route mapped out first then they follow the
route like trains.

"AI" software is not able to deal with left turns across traffic.
Here is the EE Times story from the AZ highway patrol (not the Uber
version):

It appears that elite human chess players can now beat computers.
Problem is that it is much more lucrative to lose to a computer
because of appearance revenue than win. I read that Renaissance
Capital was the largest short seller on the Oslo exchange just
after the crude price fall. What AI trading algorithms.

Here is a link to my paper falsifying the very idea of AI:
