To use vagueness correctly one should avoid using refering to time.

But use of the word smoked was done correctly; up down and a failure of the the market them selves was all covered guaranteeing your 50% so long as markets don't freeze.

you got the "something is going to happen part down". You just need to work on the "at some time" part. Few minutes really ties you in. you may of lost some 50%'s
 
The ES

We broke out of a channel. We have not seen price indicate any preference in direction on its own. Price has stayed flat on the ES.


We need to find a point 1.

The problem here is that we were in a horizontal channel. This changes things, we dot have a rule for point 1's im a horizontal channel.

So we are on the side lines. While we find one.
It is not fare to find a rule to fit our chart. But if it is to test some thing that we lack a rule it is ok. But we cant expect ,much from it.

The zig zag form one intermediate trend line to the next is not really as clear right now.

The YM
The YM seems to have shot up and retreated, It has not respect our trend line.

The pull back on the YM has not yet pulled lower than our big up bar. So it can be said to also be in a lateral move.

We have seen the that often one will stall while waiting for the other to reach and bounce off a trend line .

It would be ideal to learn Jacks take one lateral moves. It is made for 2 2 5 mins bars but may be valid on longer term charts.

I have not yet seen how to play this. only to recognize it .

Ill try to give it a bit of extra time siince it is Jack and all. But if ii bump in to anything else that involes laterals and volume in the mean time Ill have to add it in to our rules for now while we back test in the present.
 
Got a bit lost in jacks work actually installed a search tool that may be just what I need.


But lets try to move ahead with at least something to report.

This is an issue that has plagued me. It is a war between disorganization and limiting information.

How many trend lines should I put. I often open a chart in TOS and it tells me that there were more the 400 drawings on it so it may not be showing all of them.

I decided to go the simple way.

But JH kinda showed me that there is a way to organize a mess.

The breakout today is nothing more then price moving laterally and hitting a TL that dates back to around DEC.

Why was this not on my charts.

Do I try to put all TL's on my chart or do I only use some and look at volume information for others ?


If break out that seems to have no reason actually does have a reason and it is a TL, I should be able to catch it without the TL and seeing volume changes only (though in this lateral case i am clueless to begin with.)

I should practice seeing TL's by volume only and not price. But there is so little time and so much to do. It seems like progress is being made, the Rate is crap !

We have an issue of a the longer term TL either being incorrect or expanding. Either way the smaller one is prevailing and we see some volume at a key point that may confirm retest and a break out.

Our bias is upward to the even longer term TL

We will stay in the pink until we hit the stink upper yellow TL.

If any one is gona call me on being wrong please also include an excel sheet of all my good and bad calls of this year :)
 
Ok Most of posts form this year are from researching JH's stuff. You can see my work from previous times is in some ways similar but not as "strict"

I will start a new journal now Things are getting very messy and were messy to begin with.

keeping track of DU channel and vol is key to our long therm success.

Turned out my "instinct" was right!

My work this year depended on these type of things being coincidences. I drilled it in to my mind and here it is in my face yet again !!!

Link 1 was entitled introduction to day trading strategies. I was showing where one can go wrong making a strategy. In doing so, I found my self face to face with my demon and unable to accept the same advice I was trying to give!

Well from what I gather it means that a greater force may have stepped in. The is stronger the current force of the joke of a channel

Or it could be some one pressed the wrong button on their PC
