What a run

Maybe, but it makes me feel better(little bit).:mad:

7 losers / 3 breakevens.....

I'd say if this pattern has been pretty much repeating itself recently, then you need to maybe look for some new ideas. If it was only a recent one time occurrence, it's really no big deal. Shake it off, get back in there Monday!

Sure

back in 2005
I had like 15 losing trades in a row trading YM

no breakevens
no profits
just all stopped out trades.
:D

================
Not bad at all, before 2003 blew up an account;
improper money management[too large position size.]

Actually for a careful chart trader, intraday some or swing/position trade;
1 loss can say a lot, maybe the trend changed.

Number 72 helps , thats wisdom;
72 hours work week can help much also.

At least you didnt blow you r account up .:cool:

Last 10 trades- 7 losers, 3 lousy breakevens.Can anybody match it?

Its just the mathematics of investing. If your system has a 70% success rate it is only a matter of time before you get 11 losers in a row. When it happens it doesnt mean anything at all unless you give it meaning.

Such a period can help you focus your energies on where to improve.

IMO, a *string* of losers is caused by (1) wrong directional bias, (2) you played for *trend* when you should have been playing for *chop*... or vice versa, and (3) your stops were generally too tight.
