Actually these news are marketing scams. There was no 5 hour battery in the first place. They want to incrementally announce the news to pump the stock. What is next? Probably, the peformance is increased by 30% or the phone case has been improved to handle damages caused by phone drop !!

exactly. They have the worlds smartest engineers working on this project, of course the knew from the beginning what the battery life was. This is news just to pump up the stock price.
