Not everyone is as irreverent as you. And that is not a criticism.
Irreverence has its place and one thinks of Ovid and Juvenal and their important place in Roman history. They both lashed Roman society with their irreverent satire.
More modern examples are Chaucer and the Bard himself. We need them.
You have to allow, however, that there are other types of folks in our society who actually respect our institutions and who are repulsed by classless acts.
