I don't think it was the CV. I think the real threat was the potential election of a communist as US president. I'd never wish death on anyone, but if he somehow dropped out of the race today during US market hours when stocks were at their lows, you'd see an instant 150-200 point pop in the S&P.

The CV doesn't look much worse than a bad flu. Here's a conspiracy theory: What happened is that it originated from a Chinese lab as an unintentionally leaked bioweapon prototype. They didn't really know how bad it would be so they shut down everything preparing for the worst. Turns out it wasn't as bad as they feared. No one will be talking about CV in a month or two except for CEOs who are able to blame it for a bad quarter (as they write-off a lot of bad costs completely unrelated to the virus) and give good guidance.

I live in the same county as the school teacher CV case. I don't see panic here. I was at Costco yesterday, they were out of toilet paper and a few other items, but people still having samples. When the gun stores run out of bullets, I'll be worried. People tend to like to do what others do. If they see people hoard, they think they should hoard as well. It's human nature.

Markets are up. They prefer the risk of a Senile president to a Commie one. I suppose Reagan wasn't that bad.

Biden will put Trump and everyone around him in prison, don't expect some high minded response, he has to stop Trump's sniping on Twitter which will not stop our of office.

Because electricity soon will be gone, no lights, you know, apocalypse, armagedon, the judgement day. Can't use candles in the shop, because the remaining reserves of toilet paper - could catch fire.
