I still think the vast majority of people including democrats are responding properly to their situations.

You give people free money and benefits and make a huge benefit cliff if they go off to work; you are going to get a lot of people complaining when they have to change.

Its my contention that the 60 million extra people in the country have made wages lower and costs like housing much higher. Couple that with systemic inflation and you have a economic misery soup created by the FED and D.C. This situation should have washed out and reset 10 years ago. Instead we are pulling a japan.

First time job seekers look at the situation and say they would rather live in the parents basement and no life it.

I don't think its pure laziness. I see as bad policies leading to distorted economy leading to bad results.

I am not talking about first time job seekers. I am talking about jobs that are highly specialized and require a high degree of education, they are primarily done by foreigners.

I just wanted to say... that I think govt policies have had a lot to do with our problems.

even the immigrants we take in. larger immigration and big govt safety net is not a smart way to do things if your goal is hard workers and the thinkers.

I wouldn't mind if it was a safety net. It is nowhere near being a safety net. They are using government funds to bribe people to vote for them. These immigrants who you speak of are only viewed as potential voters and a way to increase the powerbase of the democrat party.

Do you really think people like Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, Obama, and Chuck Schumer give two shits about these people?
