Rich pricks who expect special privileges just because they have money. People who think they have the right to buy elections, or pay for legislation restricting the voting rights of other (not-rich) Americans.
Regarding this thread topic, the plutocratic banksters got their toadies in Congress to kill Glass-Steagall in 1999. Some Dems helped that crime but the ringleaders were all Republicans.
When the Dems managed to outlaw the evil of redlining, the banksters went from one extreme to the other: rather than preventing qualified Blacks from getting home loans, suddenly everybody was encouraged to get a loan, no qualifications necessary. Hence the mortgage crisis . No law required banks to make liar loans, they did that all on their own. Then the Bush administration bailed them out.
Now they try to treat all mortgages as if they were liar loans, hence the first post in this thread.

It would be better if politicians didnât have a lot of power to sell or if there were enough checks to prevent âselling outâ. It is concerning to see this âtoo big to failâ concept being ingrained in public thought. If a company screws up, it should fail, like everyone else.
Have people not learned that lawyers and politicians have no problem knocking down "checks" that prevent "selling out"? If the power is there, it is for sale to the highest bidder.
