I agree, thinking is difficult. Much easier to be told what to do and the powers that be just love it when you mindlessly follow orders. Total indoctrination is nearing completion. North Korea may win without firing a missile.

Whoa! I always thought "giving kids the opportunity to learn to think" was a major reason to send them to college... ??

Oh these poor snowflakes can't be exposed to any differing points of view. Think of their mental anguish and suffering. Where is your compassion for their pain? They may get a headache or their heads might explode. Ah, the inhumanity of it all.

:)

A lot of effort has gone into indoctrinating these young people and they aren't about to let some asshat conservative speaker undo it.

The thing is, by making these speakers seem dangerous and revolutionary, they have the unintended effect of lending them a mystique.

When the Boomers die off a large chunk of "conservative" will disappear from America. I wonder if the country will then be able to avoid going "Full Commie Left".

Actually there is a significantly sized group of young conservatives in the South. At least 30% of my kid's friends in NC are conservative. About 40% are liberal, and 30% are in the middle.

There is also the trend that as people get older they tend to move from being liberal to becoming more conservative -- but this mainly impacts people in the middle. But I expect we will see this (once again) with the younger generation.
