Well that was a sick run...wonder how much longer this bad boys gonna last.

Hi Bugsy, If you are looking for volatile stocks you might consider screening for tickers with highest beta coefficient and restrict market cap to avoid penny stocks.
Ya I've screened outside of penny stock range using volatility in the screener on finviz but another problem is catching them fast enough before theyve made their moves. Futures are just a better fit for me. I'm a degen so I can trade in the midnight hours, catch 3 hours of sleep, and then trade US hours. All the while I see every move as it happens. Thanks though.

They TEND to move in unison in direction, but this earnings season has been a bit odd. As for volatility? You'll always have more price-action on NQ as opposed to ES.

Regarding slippage on GC vs. RB, you'd have more slippage on market orders with RB due to it's jerkier moves per tick.

Watch RB, NQ, GC and ES tomorrow during the NFP report at 8:30AM ET and draw your own conclusions.
Ya I just went and looked at RB on investing.com real quick. It moves in increments of 1/100 of a cent? That's fucking insane. I saw one 5 minute bar was 12 cents. That's 1200 increments. Is each of those 1200 a tick or does the tick count differently?

Each tick is $4.20. I call that and HO the pot stocks, because of that tick value, heh.

Yeah, but is each tick 1/1000 of a cent (ie 1.2315 to 1.2316)?

Yes. Well, no, 1/100th of a cent. 1/10000th of a dollar.

But you get the drift.

Oi, just pull up a chart of the thing and look! lol!

Er, ya 1/100th. I'm in crash mode currently. My days start anywhere from 10pm to 4am.

Hell of an opening range for your start time. So your work-day mood can be volatile? hehe
My work days start at 3am so I leave my house by something, but may have been up since 10pm night before. I use that schedule towards my off days as well for trading. I work Sat - Monday and trade Tues thru Fri. My off days I sleep like 3 to 6 hours.

You do raise a valid point on the current ES volatility. Are there any other futures worth trading in those slow times?

Slow times?

2020 have been one of the most consistently volatile years in history.

There have been times in the past where ES have consistently been moving 10 points per day or LESS for most of the year. That's when you want to start looking for something else.
