There are priorities. If Snowden is prioritized, as if he was a treasonous monster that needed to be tried and imprisoned for life immediately, it would split Trumps base, demoralize half of his vocal supporters, and discourage everyone who stood in line for his rally's chanting "Lock her up". No one in his base ever made getting Snowden any kind of priority, any more than making Trump's taxes a priority. Fact is, the base is split whether he did U.S. a service or not, and some of us, like me, are ashamed to be associated with people who spit out venomous condemnations of someone who clearly sees himself as a principled whistle-blower, and rightly so...when there are far bigger fish to fry. Would be a total waste of Trump/Session's political capital.
