Quote from shortie:

Ah! my long dollar trade is ~b/e right now. the dollar is alive! :)

a general question: this trade went against me ~2%, do i admit that i was wrong and close ~b/e (maybe a small gain or a small loss) and start from scratch?

i am guessing the answer is: "it depends..."

I'm guessing your answer to this question is "if the USD continues to drop then I say I exited @ b/e", or conversely, if the USD gains you say "I'm glad I held and see everybody? I'm right!"

dollar got whacked again, UUP -1%

i know sh't about currencies but there seems A LOT of volatility there. something is gonna happen...

No fiat currency has ever survived, no gold standard has ever survived either. There are not a lot of things that stay forever the same

Gold precedes the dollar, usually. For myself, I have a short term sell on gold stocks but not yet on gold on the daily chart. On the weekly, all is still well. So, all in all, the dollar has not yet bottomed, IMO.
Of course, I don't trade the dollar; I do gold, so none of this may be relevant.
