worse yet a corporate welfarist and crony capitalist like Trump
Anybody unhappy with their current situation but votes for 4 more years of the same deserves the misery coming their way. Even Trump can't avoid the higher personal taxes coming to pay for all of this chaos and increased government spending even before Covid hit. And I can't imagine what some Americans will do faced with monster health care bills or insurance premiums in an environment where job security is questionable.
Trump on a second term wouldn't give a shit about any of it. He'd ask what is in it for him. This election is all about his ego and need to win at all costs. If he had integrity he'd admit he's in over his head and resign.
