Weekly P&L -7053 completely out of sync with market right now :banghead: All losses from my pairs trades but wheel did not perform well either.
 
Hang in there! I lost bigly as well last week... around -3K (-0.77%) which is big for my small account.

IBKR havin' trouble renderin' 1W benchmarks... so here's my trailing 2W return. YTD return stands at 16.02%.

Lost -3094 this week - today was the worst day -7472.
Things that are hard to accept -
I'm coming into today short vol, long delta, and it's Friday - so you'd think theta makes a dent. My account moves from long 742 beta weighted SPY deltas to 49 - VIX is dropping a little - basically everything should benefit my positions - yet I end up down 1500 on the wheel today. The rest of today's loss was a major outlier day in my pairs trades, 2nd worse pairs trading day since I started logging them 2 years ago.
Hovering at a yearly loss of -94320 - bummer
 
Hang in there, a pretty flat week for me whilst the indices soared. A combination of my hedges losing power and upside hurtin' some long-dated calls I sold. YTD: 16.08%; Trailing 1M: -2.52%.

But I'm still happy about trading - I've made a lot of progress this month on working through my data dashboard to automate almost all of my trading; and associated DevOps to upload all the code into the cloud (I used an coupon from a cloud vendor for $200 free cloud service lol).

Any plans to visit Boston in the Fall? (I read in the previous threads your kids are in school in the area) - the Fall so far here has been very mild; and it's now prime foliage season. So good time to pick pumpkins at farmer patch, visit Salem for Halloween if your in the area etc.

Was there last week Wed-Sun for the northeastern "parent weekend". Had fun walking the freedom trail and my son was checking out colleges as well.
How far out are your hedge puts? I'd assume they're not easy to roll right now with vol being almost 30 and the market not moving much.
 
Friday and Monday have been very brutal - nothing was working. Finished Monday just shy of a 100.000$ loss for the year @-99051. I hope that was the low point. Tuesday and today were better - volatility finally started to show a crack - let's see where this week ends but at least the options market seems to behave normal again.
 
Again, I mean this in all honesty, maybe the title of your thread indicates your mentality. Also, do you think your strategies are overly complex? Just probing. Hope things improve.

Maybe you need to do the opposite of your instincts.
