Weinstein Trading and Fading

Good day today even though I missed AIG by a small amount.

I had a good day today although KFY is still moving higher. I shorted some and covered some and ended up with more of a short but with a much higher average. With a day of weakness I should be able to close it out with a nice gain or at least be able to walk from it. Having it closed out by the end of the week would be nice but I will see how the market and price action behaves to decide what to do next. I received VMC short B9 signal and did well on that trade and had a gap up with EMS which I traded twice although the second time probably should have been skipped. MTXX was a buyout that I traded but didn’t get much traction and closed most of it out near the bell. Still holding 600 shares short at 8.02 as I write this. I didn’t get much from CFR so I walked away with a small gain. I didn’t want to try to ramp up the shares when I already have lots of fun with KFY.
Shorted PRSP into the close due to being higher 10 days in a row. This is a resuse of an older signal that I am bringing back now that I have more computer power to work with, very much like the KFY and CFR shorts. I am looking for a retrace into the 38.00 price range and if the market falls tomorrow I may get some help.

One of the slowest trading days in a long time.

I did trade KFY today with more covers than shorts. I started covering at a loss but my final cover was in the green. If KFY has seen the top of the move and continues down tomorrow this could turn into a nice trade. Otherwise if it moves up I will have to start looking for the exits as it is not retracing much on down days yet.
BP is getting sued by the government and I shorted the news but took a phone call from Hold Brothers so I covered so I could focus on the call. BP of course then continued much lower…..LOL
MTXX was fully covered near the open with what was left from a partial fill yesterday and PRSP was my overnight that started moving against me so I covered on a retrace and left a lot on the table. Overall it was just a slow day. COCO started moving higher after an upgrade but then fell back again. I am somewhat glad about the fall back. I been wanting to load up on it but waiting for my article on the stock to be finished and posted.

Not feeling well yesterday or today so this will be a little fast.

Turned unrealized loss into a realized loss by scalping V back and forth bringing my cost average into the closing price of the stock. I lowered my size to the amount I want to hold longer term as I believe this is a good company that is currently undervalued.
I had one B7 signal trade with ITMN but only was able to get short 100 shares so not much there. V acted pretty good for much of the day but I tried to get more greedy than it was going to offer today so I will see how it goes Monday. Still working with JFY and faded the move higher.

Not the best way to end the week but at least it was still a good week overall.

Not much going on for a Monday for me.

I had one nice trade with BEC with a dual 10m bar overbought signal. I was conservative with my entry price and that was good because it kept ripping higher for a while which gave me a great entry and confidence to hold out for a lot more than the normal target. Great trade that was only 7 minutes from the first sale to the last cover.
V traded around my breakeven quite a bit in the morning and I traded 100-200 shares at a time around my BE. I also ended up covering some of my long but continue to hold some long hedged with Jan 70 calls. I thought I could do the same with COCO but COCO never went below my BE today for me to buy some more. I am leaving the order standing though as I am building my COCO long. No trades with KFY but still short

Good day all around but nothing was real big. Added together it did amount to something.

ARMH was a gap up after a B7 that i was in from open to close and didn’t get near what I thought I was going to get. BBBY was afterhours fade. BXS Was a small dual 10m bar overbought. Dole was a B9 that I shorted right at the very top so it was not much of a fade. I had an opening B9 signal with JEC that was one of my better trades. Overall it was the best although I made more today with MCP. MCP was my carryover from yesterday that I ended up with a net gain but not as much as I wanted.

Very good point. While I meant the amount of trading I did I guess the results are the most important thing.

Monday after Christmas and it was pretty slow. I did manage to get two trades off and so it was worth a few hours time.

AIG (59.71 ↑9.90%) had a Laurel signal and IB could not decide if it had any shares or not so I needed to go to the options market(hate that) and short calls as a substitute. MCP had a modified B7 as there is no 200MA to work off of but when it went intraday overbought with a nice gain already I shorted. I was not able to short the shares as once again IB didn’t have shares. Was very tiring having to pay more and get less in the options market to get the job done.
I thought AIG may give me a B7 signal but it could not quite get there. ended the day a bit early so I could get up to the inlaws for dinner.
Still short ICOP (0.46 ↓-7.60%) and long COCO (4.62 ↓-1.49%) both green and I like both trades. I spent some time today looking at a penny stock RMGX that appears to be a total POS pump and dump. I am not sure I want to walk into the world of penny stocks but I think with some time and effort I may be able to find less obvious but just as profitable small cap stocks without a future beyond lower capitalization.

I've been dabbling in the P&D world of penny stocks rather successfully. Sitting on one that doubled last week in 4 days. I'm not even waiting for proper entries, I'm buying them at highs as soon as I'm aware of them because I'm notorious for forgetting to buy stocks if I don't do it the moment I think of it :p
