Weinstein Trading and Fading

Quote from NoDoji:

Awesome trade, Bob! But I don't think it's a record. My memory is only semi-photographic, but I believe you had a $6000+ day trade on TIF or TRA or one of those "T" stocks last fall :p

Hey NoDoji,

Thanks for saying so.

You sure could be right. I would guess that the trade your referring to was held overnight and not just a day trade.

My best (and worst) trades are carry overs as a general rule. Its not something I keep track of so I can't say for sure.

I hope your enjoying your weekend.

Bob

*************

1) no trades, 2) two longs, 3) high priced stock

That's three uncharacteristic actions in one week.

This can mean only one thing: Mr. R.W. is pregnant :D

LMAO

Hey NoDoji,

I hope your weekend is going well.

Your right, it was a very strange week indeed. After that fast run up giving me all the signals in the world and a very good month in April I been scrapping to find valid signals this week as the market took most of the week in a downward direction.

Its very difficult for me to see this market continuing to go higher (biggest sign of my bearish stance is the selling of $10 calls against my LVS holdings about two weeks ago)

Sure would be nice is the market provided opportunities in a more even fashion.....LOL

Respectfully,

Robert

Then you went on to say that it was a hassle to set up a pay chat with pay-pal or whoever so you suggested the users could "DONATE" to the room. Correct?

I decided to not go to your website for the chat you stole from ET and CF because i have higher standards. Correct?

Your post defending yourself is rather weak when truth is considered. Correct?

i can always tell when someone is stroking others when they use amplified and over the top defense toward the person calling one out to explain themself with the truth. You fit that situation. The truth can be defended by what went down, not what you would have preferred as in your post. Pat yourself on your back all you want to but be assured i and others know the truth.

Have fun playing "GURU" and i will carry on trading. We are worlds apart Bob, you know it and i know it. We have nothing to say to each other after this post. i have higher standards in chatting, meeting, etc , etc with the people i deal with. Thks for the memories.

PS: be kind to the other people in the world that you referred to as the "ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED". So long loser.

Now Robert Weinstein is asking for DONATION! He's ASKING PEOPLE TO DONATE TO HIS CHATROOM! A loser playing 'GURU' and asking his supporter to donate to HIM. Next thing, he'll ask people to Wire Money for him to trade!

Robert Weinstein is a Hypocrite and that's the TRUTH!

For the record, I've been in Robert's chat room since it started and I don't recall him ever asking for donations. I do recall a discussion once about a more robust chat platform that would cost money and the group discussed donations to support that.

"playing Guru"?? He calls his trades, but if anything he tells people "don't do what I do".

"loser"??? I'm surprised you find a 50% return in less than 5 months to be a loss. Robert has mastered the mental game of trading and is a true professional. I saw him deal with the black swan event of LEH going under while he held a significant position, take a $60,000+ loss and come right back posting one profitable day after another. I saw him manage a trade that opened almost $40K against him on a gap, and close it out with a $1700 loss.

Robert is one of the kindest people I know. I originally met him in ET chat last summer as a total noob day trader and he answered many dozens of questions, provided real-time guidance when trades gapped or ran against me, even took time to research things if the info wasn't right at hand. When ET chat began failing on a regular basis, he took the time on evenings and weekends to set up an alternative room, which is an excellent trading resource.

I think you need to check your sources before posting nonsense on someone's journal.

I have peeked and see no reason for this "love fest".

You are wrong! I see plenty of good reasons for this "love fest". UberGoober said Robert is very loved and respected trader and my guess is he and others donated plenty of money into Robert's donation box.

Robert Weinstein is asking his beloved supporter to donate 50% trading gains plus little exra to his donation box for his chatroom. The next thing he will ask his supporter to Paid2trade aka Paid-(Him)-2trader! Hahaaaa

I'd seen many people like Robert Weinstein. He can fools many people but not all.

Nod,

I sugguest you check up Robert Weinstein's blog 'paid2trade.com' before you said I am posting nonsense. He posted on May 13, 2009 on his blog asking for donations for his chat room.

Go to his blog, click the the right side under Recent Posts, and look for title 'Donations for chat room' which he posted on May 13, 2009. You can find the donations box below his post ..

Take out your Visa, Master and Amex and start donating..

Thank you and God Bless!

Bob started a new chatroom for us that (imo) is much more user friendly than the old one. However, it costs more to maintain. Like Nod said, Bob didn't ask for donations; he told us what costs were associated with the new room and said that traders could choose to contribute to the running of the site if they were making money and wished to do so; no one needed to feel obligated. The wording on his blog is obviously very sarcastic and should be taken as a joke (Bob jokes around a lot!). He even states on his blog that it only costs about $500/ year to keep the chat up, which is a very small amount when split between us.

For the record, even if the site was subscription only, I would pay for it. I am continually impressed by Bob's trading, and I have learned a lot from watching him. Just being able to connect with all these other traders with ideas different from my own has been well worth any contribution I have made.
