Mostly a slow day. Lots of scalping but I did have one trade.

LEH, covered LEH from yesterday at the open and followed up with scalping it musch of the day. bought a lot of shares at the close and carrying them overnight + 1535
GFIG + 390 scalped
+ 2353 for the day
+ 18158 for the week
+ 31149 for the month

I woke up this morning and went to check the price of LEH as I carried it overnight. I have to say it was down so much in pre market trading that at first I thought I made a mistake in the symbol.
I sold off about half the shares at about $5 and helf the rest as I have seen this before and normally there is a recovery.
Came back about 20 mins later and LEH was around $4 so I bought back much of what I sold.
I was able to trade it back and forth and actually recovered about $7000 by scalping it all day.
It was a mistake to hold overnight regardless of the outcome.
During the last 15 mins of trading today I was selling off and going to take the hit and walk. News came out that LEH is in talks (big suprise i know) and then LEH started moving higher and very quickly. As a result I am going to once again hold this overnight. I dont actually like the idea and I just as soon cut the loss but I do have a buy signal and I feel the odds favor holding (something that was not the case yesterday)
My gut tells me there is some positive news tomorrow or at least nothing negative and at the least it will have a dead cat bounce from shorts covering.
This is a good example of why not to trade in too large of size and to go slower than what it feels like you should.
At least the chart looks good and that we saw the spike panic down today.

pretty much moved out by hedging with options. Going to try to grab some premium.
