Weinstein Trading and Fading

Quote from Odgnut:

Weren't you short ENER at 60.68? At the time you posted today that you covered that short...ENER was around 62. How did you make over $2k profit on that position? Did you add to the position at the close on Friday that you never mentioned?

Hello Odgnut,

Yes, I shorted more after the post of being short 20. Actually I bought some back and then shorted some more. You will see by Fridays blotter and by todays blotter that I carried over and covered 6200 shares this weekend.

Best to you

Bob

Ok...thanks for clearing that up. Took some balls to add to that position. Good job!

Thanks, cool of you to say so.

I don't normally post my day trades anymore and thats why I didn't bother to continue to post it.

Super Great day. Best trading profits of the year.

Closed out about half of the Covered short with STO +276

Added to the ANR short.
Now short 8 ANR @ 84.96 and
S 2 ANR Jun Calls @ 3.40

I plan to keep fading the ANR move as I believe it is short term topping out.

I had some nice day trades also

ACI + 532
XCO + 420
MEE + 835
HOC +53
HK + 533
FCL + 100

+ 4957 for the day/week/month
+ 45920 for the year

Thanks for creating this journal R1. I really appreciate the effort put into it. Just to clarify, when you say:
Now short 8 ANR @ 84.96

Does it mean short 800 shares of ANR?

Thanks.

Best to your trading

Hello Grecha,

Thanks a lot for saying so !!

I find the journal helps me look back on my trades and improve when I look at things after the fact.

Yes, in the example 8 ANR @ 84.96 means 800 shares. also 4.96 would still mean 84.96 if I wrote it that way which i usually do in the ET chat room.

Thanks again and best of trading to you.

Bob
