I don't need to see fresh evidence of deep ignorance as I saw plenty over the last 8 years.
I can understand how the country elected Obama to his first term. First there was John McCain and Sarah Palin as candidates and a lot of people were pissed off about the handling of wars and the economy by republicans for the previous 8 years. One has to remember just how bad the economy was at the end of George W. Bush's second term.
But reelecting Obama 4 years later is unforgivable. I understood then that the country was possibly doomed and that I needed to take measures to uncouple my fate from it.
Not only did he not technically manage to end any wars, he added to the number of them we are actively fighting. Not only did he not close Gitmo, he fostered the creation of a large region of mixed warfare that will supply prisoners to Gitmo in perpetuity. He did nothing to stop or restrain North Korea from developing ballistic intercontinental nuclear warheads. He did nothing to stop or restrain Iran from developing nuclear bombs. He divided the country along economic and racial lines like it has not seen since the 1930s. The guy has been a disaster and that ought to have been evident to those who voted for him the first time around. Reelecting Barrack Obama made me write off the population of the United States as being collectively pretty damned stupid.
