Wednesday fed meeting strategy.... got ideas?

there's no point for setting himself up for failure. if he fails, then America and the whole system would fail. he's going to stick to the accommodating script. I think a goal of the FED is to placate the public opinions (by installing trust and confidence in people and systems). ok, he might as well rock the boat to show he's the FED chairman (I am more popular and powerful than any President, king, queen, chief, sultan, ... in the entire world) :)

I suspect it will be uneventful. It's quad witching week too.

Aren't those witching events supposed to increase volatility? Given how paranoid the market is right now, there will be movements around Fed's speech.

There is usually a three-step reaction to Fed announcements during the half hour post talk...the first is the knee-jerk reaction, the second is a minor pullback and the third is a major breakout or breakdown.

Funny you say that, I noticed that too about 20+ years ago too. Passed an interview once because it was the same day as Fed meeting and just before Fed announcement. I iterated what you said above and we watched together as market moved precisely as described. Interviewer thought I was some guru and offered me the job.

Fed dovish?

Heresy...

lol...nice

Like a soft floating dove....gliding over the smoldering ruins

Powell is going to continue to swear on his mother's grave that he's not going to increase the interest rate and will try to drop the interest rate to -ve if he can

That's pretty much is going to be tomorrow's playbook.
