Wealthy Americans who benefit hugely from a system rigged in their favor..

Quote from Ricter:

The widely held perception today is that they are shaping and even writing tax law.

And they are allowed to decorate their own rooms too!!

Quote from Ricter:

"If we discovered that space aliens were planning to attack..."

I guess you missed the "if" part.

I guessed you missed where he is using a fictional sci-fi show to back his argument:

http://globalpublicsquare.blogs.cnn...an-calls-for-space-aliens-to-fix-u-s-economy/

"Ken Rogoff: And we need Orson Welles, is what you're saying.

Paul Krugman: No, there was a Twilight Zone episode like this in which scientists fake an alien threat in order to achieve world peace. Well, this time...we need it in order to get some fiscal stimulus."

Sci-fi policy.

It's a thought experiment, like the article mentions. How do you think about things, in a box?

I believe he should use sound, viable theories, not Rod Serling's version. Apparently he took the Science part of his Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences award a little too seriously.

What a person earns belongs to him; not to the thugs in D.C.
However, the USA is not a level playing field for all its citizens.

You'd have to read the rest of the article to determine if he did, or did not, make a sound argument. Get back to me when you have.
