Wealthiest Americans say the poor have it easy

oh, now you are cracking me up. Is your problem my tax dollars going to the poor? Or is it, some races get more per capita, and that's just not fair, they must be culturally predisposed toward laziness, and that is just not the American way. If we were just paying for poor whites, that would be ok, because everybody knows, whites are not lazy, and if they are poor it is just because they have fallen on hard times. And if you give them a helping hand, they will soon be on their culturally predisposed path towards tax paying prosperity.

You are the one making the statements and trying to portray others.

The point I am trying to make ... is that saying that there are more whites than blacks on food stamps is meaningless. If you want to study the social ramifications of benefit programs then you must look at is as a percentage of a race on the program vs. their overall representation in the population.

Greedy, f'n, parasitic whiners. They somehow have the notion in their heads that they deserve to live like they've accomplished something.

Don't the poor already have it better in the US than any other place on the planet? And they have it so good at the expense of others.... that's what's not fair.

who is this "they" Kemosobe? How is it if you have money you are "we" and if you don't you are "they"? Take your class warfare to the democrat party, we don't need any of that crap here.

It's tough being wealthy.

Not "tough". More like "deserved". IOW... wealthy people DID SOMETHING TO BECOME WEALTHY!! Wealthy people DID SOMETHING the poor couldn't, wouldn't or didn't.

I you're "poor" and "want to be wealthy"... well, DO SOMETHING TO MAKE YOURSELF WEALTHY! It's the American way. (And I don't mean piss-n-moan to Congress or Al Sharpton about how it's all "not fair".)

not as easy as you think it may be, taxes on one side, poor people wanting more on the other
Sometimes I get irked during my commute that traffic is "crawling", that we're all only going 60 (km/h), when the speed limit is 100. On a "good hair day" though I take a look at the ground outside and realize how much faster I'm going than pretty much all previous humans have been able to.

Speaking of Congress, and politicians in general, quite a bit of wealth there, too.

and that brings us back to OP. It aint bad being poor in today's world. The poorest person today lives better than the Kings of Old. Even a poor person has a button they can push to make their house cooler or warmer. Very few are hungry, and if you look at them, most have been over eating. Kind of hard to find mercy for a fat black mama saying, "Every month I have to decide between rent and food." No doubt about what she decided to spend it on.

Similarly, it puts the bellyaching about taxes and regulation into perspective.
