Just more propping of an economy that should go thru a downturn to really improve. Seems like no one wants to take a lose anymore. There has to be a downside of a cycle. Nothing can prevent a deflationary depression.

It's a house of cards (sorry for the pun). Nothing will solve the China housing crisis. You put poor people into your worst units and bad things will happen (even rent to own). They don't have the money for upkeep. The units are so poorly built, China is unable to refurbish them.

Having seen what has happened to China's quality of products, is there ANYTHING you would buy from Temu?? Anything???

Temu's got good some stuff. The trick is knowing what to buy. If you are lucky, you can get pretty good quality stuff at a very low cost that works very well with your budget. A rule of thumb is don't buy anything indispensable or important from Temu. Try to buy stuff that you need to use everyday but don't care if they break down from Temu, the small stuff, the stuff that you would buy from a 99 cents only store. That's what Temu is, an online 99 cents only store.

The more I think about it...The less likely I would buy anything from Temu.

I would be concerned about putting cheap products around me, that may cause harm to my body. The production of their items are not only made in unsafe conditions, but would be unsafe having around my body!! Would you regularly eat from food utensils bought from Temu??

My mother bought a few items from Temu and they all worked out well. She bought a mop set (a mop and a bucket), a metal strainer for the drain in her kitchen sink, and two pairs of slippers. You cannot buy anything that touches food from them. My mom bought a pair from Temu (being envious of a pair that I have), the material was so bad it was obviously plastic trying to pass itself off as silicon and it was all warped and melting and sticking to this hot oven pan that my mom was holding using them. I had to convince my mom to return them because it was quite dangerous for her. The product was obviously fake and could disintegrate at any time and she could sustain serious burns.

So long story short. As long as you don't buy anything that goes into your body and just stick with gadgets mostly, Temu is not too bad for its price.

Maybe a bit overly cautious, but I can also imagine that there exists “bad” plastic that can be absorbed through the skin. So if you ‘hold’ for a long time, eg a phone case, it can penetrate your body
