If these first two years have been ugly, just wait for the next two. Sessions is gone 10 seconds after the polls close this November and a few others are gone too. Trump is going to hire scalp hunters only and they'll have to commit to a full fledged revenge served cold campaign of scorched earth enforcement. Me thinks there will be blood before 2020, figuratively and literally.
And if he survives that long, then that will be Trump's undoing. Because you just described a despot in action. Even the most somnambulant Republicans in deep torpor, lounging in Congress and the Senate, will take notice and sluggishly remember the few history lessons they were homeschooled.

Given what's happened since the day Trump took office I don't think he gives two shits about running in 2020. Now it's about payback, and if he goes down he won't go alone, and the figurative blood will flow from both parties. It is the nature of his personality to hit back hard when he feels like he's been done wrong, and there is no argument, real or perceived, he feels that he's been done wrong. The whole system needs a good enema and then the preverbal shit is about to hit the fan. It's gonna' get messy. And guess what? He'll still be a billionaire when the dust settles and won't give a flyin' fuck about the mess. It's who he is.
True. And he always, always, always feels like he's been done wrong. Entitlement, and all that. But so far it has not served him all that well since he took office. His hitting back opened the door to Mueller. And all kinds of other doors continue to open as we speak. Can you hear the hinges creaking? Music, isn't it?
