The federal judiciary, by no means, has a monopoly on this kind of behavior. Perverting the Constitution seems to be the only thing the two parties agree on.

True, but the judiciary's main job under the Constitution supposedly is to prevent the other Branches from infringing it. The Founders more or less assumed the other two Branches couldn't be trusted. It turns out the Judicial Branch is the real snake in the grass.
